This Sunday, Memorial Park will come alive with colour, music, and community
FluroFest returns to Tauranga’s Jordan Field - bringing everyone together to close Mental Health Awareness Week with connection, movement, and fun for all ages.
Hosted by Youth Voices Action (YVA) in partnership with Tauranga City Council and Te Whatu Ora Bay of Plenty, this year’s FluroFest celebrates the 2025 Mental Health Awareness Week theme, Top Up Together. It’s all about recharging our wellbeing by connecting, learning, and doing things that fill our cups, together.
This year’s line-up is one for the books, featuring what could be the final live performance from Kiwi favourites, The Harmonic Resonators. Alongside the music, there’s something for everyone, bubbles, circus tricks, football, frisbee golf, Tai Chi, market stalls, food trucks, and workshops. Whether you’re giving something new a go, or just relaxing in the sun with good company and good kai, FluroFest has you covered.
“FluroFest is about celebrating life, connection, and the power of coming together,” says Erika Harvey, General Manager of YVA. “Every year this event grows, it’s a beautiful reminder that community care is mental health care.”
The event is free to attend so, bring your whānau, pack a picnic, or grab something tasty from one of our local food trucks.
Thanks to the generous support of Kinetic Moving Communities Fund, MediaWorks, and oOh!media, there are also a number of Prezzy Cards up for grabs! Spot our FluroFest ads on Kinetic and MediaWorks sponsored buses around Tauranga or on digital screens in local shopping centres thanks to Ooh!media, then head to Youth Voices Action’s Facebook page to find out how to enter.
All prizes will be drawn live on the day along with Best Dressed in Fluro, so make sure you’re there to join the fun and be in to win!
FluroFest has become a highlight on Tauranga’s wellbeing calendar, bringing together music, movement, and kotahitanga to remind us that wellbeing isn’t a solo journey, it’s something we build and top up together.
