TAP INTO THE UNTAPPED VOICES
Whakamahia ngā reo kāore anō kia rangona.
Youth Voices Action connects you with young people who might not always be the loudest in the room, but who have some of the most important insights to share.
Organisations know the value of youth perspectives, but it’s not always easy to reach the rangatahi who don’t step forward on their own. YVA provides the structure, support, and relationships to bring these voices into the conversation in ways that are safe, meaningful, and sustainable.
We help you bring fresh perspectives into your programmes by connecting you with these often-overlooked voices.
ORGANISATIONS, ARE OUR ADVOCATES FOR YOUTH
YVA empowers young people (aged 13–24) across the Bay of Plenty to take an active role in shaping their futures. Our kaupapa focuses on mental health and wellbeing, leadership, education, and advocacy - creating opportunities for rangatahi to build confidence, gain skills, and influence the communities they live in.
HOW WE WORK WITH ORGANISATIONS
We partner with schools, councils, iwi, community organisations, government agencies and service providers to make sure youth perspectives are not an afterthought but part of the design. A key part of this is our contract-based research and youth engagement services.
Organisations can hire us to:
- Gather authentic feedback from rangatahi.
- Run tailored youth panels or workshops that provide meaningful insights.
- Involve young people directly in advisory roles, reviews, or decision-making processes.
This approach does two things:
It creates a sustainable funding stream for YVA, ensuring our connector role continues for years to come.
It means we can pay young people for their time, voice, and expertise giving them practical experience, recognition, and pathways into leadership and employment.
If you’re a school, council, or organisation interested in working with us, fill out the contact form below and our team will be in touch. Together we can create a system where youth voice is valued, funded, and embedded into how decisions are made.
